Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your eMockTest account (website and Android application) and what happens to your data. Account deletion is free and available to every registered user.

1. Delete Your Account Yourself (Recommended)

You can delete your account at any time, directly from your account:

  1. Log in to eMockTest on the website or in the app.
  2. Go to Dashboard → Profile.
  3. Scroll to Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your password and confirm the final warning.

Your account is deactivated and anonymised immediately, and you are logged out automatically. Go to Profile → Delete Account

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot log in, email support@emocktest.com from your registered email address with the subject line "Delete My Account". We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 7 working days, and confirm by email once done.

3. What Is Deleted

  • Your name, email address and phone number (permanently anonymised so you can no longer be identified).
  • Your password hash (replaced; the account can never be logged into again).
  • Your entire test history — attempts, selected answers, scores and report cards.
  • Access grants for purchased tests and Exam Packs, and any active membership access.
  • All active login sessions and app/API device tokens.
  • Your affiliate/referral profile, referral links and referral records.
  • Contact-form messages linked to your account.

4. What Is Retained and Why

  • Financial transaction records (order ID, payment ID, amount, date, status) are retained in anonymised form for up to eight years, because Indian tax, accounting and audit law requires businesses to keep records of transactions. These records no longer identify you personally.
  • Security logs (such as IP-based rate-limit counters) are retained for a short period and then purged automatically.

We retain nothing else.

5. Processing Time

Self-service deletion from Dashboard → Profile takes effect immediately. Email requests are completed within 7 working days. Residual copies in encrypted database backups are overwritten in the normal backup rotation cycle, within 30 days.

6. Important — Deletion Is Permanent

Deletion cannot be undone. You will permanently lose access to all purchased tests, Exam Packs and any remaining Premium membership validity, and no refund is payable for unused access when you choose to delete your account. If you only want to stop receiving emails or take a break, contact support instead — we can help without deleting your data.
